Vintage Lake Cabin for Sale on Lower Eau Claire Lake (Barnes, WI)

I especially enjoyed photographing this vintage year-round lake cabin on Lower Eau Claire Lake in Barnes, Wisconsin.  They don’t make ’em like they used to, and this lake home is a great example.  It has real character, and charming features that are rarely duplicated in modern construction.

Take, for example, all those round stones, probably found right there on the property, that cover every exposed surface of the entire foundation. That must have kept someone busy for a while.  Inside, the theme continues with the cabin’s massive stone fireplace.  And to help warm other rooms, part of the fireplace’s rear face is exposed in a corner of each bedroom.  That side is covered in these round stones, too.

The cabin also has a great waterfront.  But no stones here.  Just a gently sloping sand bottom, perfect for swimming.  To see more, just scroll on down.

Just Listed: Home on Lake Namekagon (Cable, Wisconsin)

This northwest Wisconsin lake home near Cable and Drummond was especially fun to photograph.  We’ve had a few gray days lately, but Friday was bright and sunny, with blue skies and big white puffy clouds.

This home’s dock still isn’t in, but all those dock parts will still make a good impression on buyers.  The front yard is fairly small; the home is only steps away from Lake Namekagon.  So together, right now the dock and boat lift are pretty much filling up the entire front yard.

This home also boasts impressive views of Lake Namekagon from almost every room in the house.  Too see more, just scroll on down.

Just Listed: Minong, Wisconsin Lake Home on Big Bass Lake

The other day I had fun photographing this NW WI lake home near Minong.  The ice had been out for less than a week, so it was great to finally get shoreline shots of open water–including my first sandy bottom shot of 2019.  Want a sandy beach for perfect swimming, but also wish you had the sort of shoreline more likely to attract birds, turtles, spring peepers, and other wildlife?  Rather surprisingly, this lake home has both.  To see how that’s possible, check out the drone aerial that comes next.

Oh.  And the house itself is pretty nice, too.  To see more, just scroll on down.
