Yesterday morning I had fun shooting the aerials for this home overlooking a creek near Lake Nebagamon, WI. It sits on ten acres that are bordered by a creek along the southern edge. In between, there’s what appears to be a small whitetail Serengeti. I spotted a few deer that spotted me first, and saw several million tracks (OK, a lot, anyway). The sellers tell me they see lots of deer and turkey wandering around their front yard pretty much every day. It’s quite a spot for wildlife watching. And, as you can see in the lower-left corner of this first photo, there’s quite a pile of nicely split wood ready for this summer’s fire pit. I’m not sure if there are trout in that creek, but it does look promising.
I photographed the interiors a couple days ago, right around dinnertime. For me, that meant shredded wheat at four and leftover pizza at eight. But in between, I enjoyed my fill of truly delicious late-afternoon light. For more, just scroll on down.
As a real estate photographer, I feel it’s my job to make every home look its best. And while luxury lake homes are a big part of our real estate market here in northwest Wisconsin, I take pride in giving more modest homes the same effort, the same artistry, and the same attention to detail. I owe it to these homes’ sellers, their potential buyers, and even the homes themselves.
These homes may not be big chalets with big windows overlooking a big lake. But people lived and loved and grew up and grew old there. They have great memories of these homes, and soon the new owners–and maybe even their children and grandchildren–will make new memories there. So these homes deserve a little love from my lens, too. No snapshots, and no shortcuts.
Take this affordable home on ten acres just up the road from Trego, Wisconsin. It’s out in the country, with plenty of privacy. It’s seen some remodeling over the years, and the interior is tastefully done. For this price range, it’s quite a nice home. To see more, just scroll on down.

I’m delighted to finally be revealing these photos from way back last August. The sellers knew they wanted to wait and put their lake home on the market right about now, but they also knew that northwest Wisconsin would still look a little snowy in early March. So we decided to get a head start on the photos. Around here, it will look exactly like this…. In a few months.
This home overlooking Lower Eau Claire Lake is in a beautiful setting, and there’s a great view of the lake from its gigantic deck. But the interior is pretty fantastic, too. For a quick look inside, just scroll on down.
