The other day I had fun shooting this charming northwest Wisconsin cabin on Lake Nebagamon.  It’s true that modern shoreline setback regulations are good for lakes and good for homeowners.  Even when a lake is fairly developed, setbacks can help it look and feel less urban.  Still, I love shooting these grandfathered-in cabins that are within a canoe-length of the water.

And that’s the subtle message I wanted to communicate visually–that this cabin has great views, and that it’s really, really close to the water.  I think I succeeded.
