An Artesian Well in Winter (Solon Springs, WI)

I paused at this local Solon Springs landmark the other day when I was out exploring the headwaters of the Saint Croix River.  It’s located at a boat landing near the north end of Upper Saint Croix Lake.  People often stop here to fill their water jugs with delicious springwater that’s just as icy cold and refreshing in July as it is in January.  If you’re hot and thirsty, but nowhere near Solon Springs right now, well, you’ll just have to take my word for it.

For a cool, refreshing video of this artesian well, visit my wife’s YouTube channel at Jean Hedren, Your NW Wisconsin Realtor.
